Downtown Let Down, New Look Rams Blowout VUUNovember 5, 2009

The Ram's ring in the Shaka Smart Era with a blowout victory of intra-city rivial VUU. Larry Sanders was dominate with 22 points, 14 rebounds and six blocks in VCU’s 85-55 exhibition victory over the Panthers, on Thursday night at the Stuart C. Siegel Center.
The fast-paced tempo of VCU continually caused the Panthers problems forcing 21 turnovers. The Ram's also out rebounded the Panthers, 44-33.
Juniors Brandon Rozzell and Joey Rodriguez combined for 25 points and six assists in what turned out to be a easy victory for the Rams.
Gregg Redford was the only player with double figures for the Panthers contributing 14 points and nine rebounds.
VCU opens the regular season next Friday, November 13th at the Siegel Center against the MEAC's Bethune-Cookman University.
Not even the ghost of Ben Wallace could help them. Nice writing by the way. If you can figure out a way to get some quotes in there this is legitimate news.
